Humane Education
HumanEd is a division of Animal Advocacy in Motion that is dedicated to providing humane education to teachers, parents and local community organizations dedicated to the health and welfare of all sentient beings and the earth.
Emily Bellairs, AAIM’s Vice President and Humane Education Director, is available for free presentations for grades 4-12, college students and audiences in Central Florida. Emily is fluent in Spanish, as well.
In the summer of 2005, Emily earned a Master of Education from Cambridge College in affiliation with the International Institute for Humane Education. This master's degree focuses on humane education and is the only program of its kind.
AAIM's mission will be realized not only through legislation, but also with humane education. Encouraging compassion, respect and tolerance will lead to a better community for everyone!
Humane education inspires us to act with kindness by creating awareness of the ways in which the smallest decisions we make in our daily lives can have far-reaching consequences. With age-appropriate activities, humane education invites learners to discover different angles of a complex issue, critically question and evaluate the information, explore the beneficial and detrimental effects and then make their own decisions.
